Castro tells Kiwanians: For the country to survive, let's share

Roxas City - "For the country to survive, let us share what we have to others especially the underprivileged," said Capiz Second District Rep. Fredenil Castro.

Castro was the guest of honor and speaker during the 10th Installation of Officers and Charging of New Members of the Kiwanis Club led by incoming President Raymundo "Mits" Amaba Jr. on Saturday at the MVW Restaurant and Tourist Inn.

"As the world is confronted by a financial crisis," Castro said, "the country is in need of a loving heart by sharing excess things to others."

"We don't need technocrats and experts in economy for the country to survive. What we need today is the loving heart, and that is the heart of the Kiwanis," Castro stressed.

For the past seven years, Castro said he never accepted any speaking engagement in the First District of Capiz, particularly in Roxas City. He said he accepted to be the guest speaker of Kiwanis because most of the officers and members are his colleagues in the law practice.

But Castro has already presumed that his appearance in the gathering might be subjected to polical malice.
