Roxas City - Close to 40 participants attended the Basic Competency Assessors' Course by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) this February 26-29 at the Nesta's Hilltop Hotel for the purpose of being TVET Qualified Assessors.
This 4-day course covers planning the competency assessment and conducting the assessment with extensive training provided by Dr. Immaculada P. Gallego, Chief of Operations Division, TESDA Region 6.
The last day is reserved for a workshop on administering competency assessment which includes role-playing and hands-on methods in conducting the assessment.
This is in conjuction with the ladderization of technical education of the schools that have been registered by TESDA under the Unified TVET Program Registration and Accreditation System, which includes Filamer Christian College (FCC), Colegio dela Purisima Concepcion (CPC), Hercor College and Capiz State University (CaPSU).
The qualified competency assessors will then be able conduct competency assessment process for persons applying for certifications such PC Operations NC II, Food and Beverage Service NC II, Housekeeping NC II, and Security Services NC II. (CTE) |
