Seal of good financial housekeeping bestowed on Roxas City gov't three times

Good financial housekeeping and, in effect, good and transparent governance has been the norm at the Roxas City hall.

This was affirmed by the Department of Interior and Local Government when it conferred the Good Financial Housekeeping, one of the components of the Seal of Good Governance, formerly known the Seal of Good Housekeeping.

This means that the city government has complied with the full disclosure policy and no adverse COA (Commission on Audit) opinion for the year covered (2014).

In passing the Good Financial Housekeeping, which gives the LGU of Roxas City access to the different programs of DILG, such as the Bottom-Up Budgeting (BUB), Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan (PAMANA) and other program windows of the DILG.

The DILG said that as to the overall result of the Seal of Good Local Governance covering the four areas: Good Financial Housekeeping , Disaster Preparedness , Social Protection and Business – Friendliness and Competitiveness, will be made available soon.

Earlier, Roxas City was a recipient of Seal of Good Housekeeping for two consecutive years, and this is the third year that it was bestowed the Seal, which will be known as the Seal of Good Local Governance.
