the Legislative Body, enact such ordinances and
passed resolutions necessary to carry into effect
and discharge the responsibilities conferred upon
it by law, and such shall be essential and proper
to provide for the health, safety, comfort and
convenience, maintain peace and order, improve
public morals and promote the prosperity and general
welfare of the city and its inhabitants.

MANAGEMENT AND OPERATIONS OBJECTIVES |
- Internal objectives for the development of
the Sangguniang Panlungsod Administration and
its operation.
- External objectives for the Sangguniang Panlungsod
vis-à-vis the platform of government
set by the present administration of Mayor Vicente
Bermejo.

Internal Objectives:

| Internal objectives formulated
are directed especially towards:
- Sangguniang Panlungsod Members and Staff
- Sangguniang Secretariat and Staff
- Effect sustained efficiency and professionalism
In the Sangguniang Panlungsod
- Provide the needed equipment and facilities
for the
department and the Sangguniang members
- Review, define, delineate and orient
personnel on their jobs and functions.
- Study workflows and systems to expedite
delivery and processing of document.
- Enhance the capabilities of the SP Members
through the conduct of visitations to other
model cities/LGU’s to observe their
programs and work methods;
- Improve office efficiency and output.

External Objectives:
|
- Perform close liaison with the Office of the
Mayor in support of his program of government;
- To bring people closer to the City Government
and the Sangguniang through the conduct of sessions
in Barangays;
- 3. Promote awareness of the people on the
work of the
Sangguniang and also heighten the awareness
of the Council in formulating vital legislation
that will redound to the benefit of the greater
majority;
- To get involved in the execution of programs
and projects of the City government in conjunction
with the needs of the people.
